Ignition Cable: Testing and Inspection


VISUAL INSPECTION
- Wipe the High-Tension Leads with a clean, damp cloth prior to inspection. Without removing High-Tension Leads from the spark plugs or Coil Pack inspect the Leads for visible damage such as cuts, pinches, cracks or torn boots. Replace damaged High-Tension Leads as necessary.

RESISTANCE CHECK
- Remove High-Tension Lead.
- Connect a suitable Ohm meter to the High-Tension Lead, as shown.
- Measure the resistance of each lead.

Resistance should be less than 22.9 K Ohms per 1m (3.28 ft.).
