Evaporator Core: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then discharge refrigerant into a suitable recovery/recycling device.
2. Disconnect intake and discharge lines from cooling unit fittings.
3. Remove cooling unit line grommets, then the glove compartment.
4. Disconnect A/C wire harness connectors.
5. Remove air duct retaining bands and cooling unit attaching nuts, then disconnect drain hose and remove cooling unit.
6. Separate cooling unit halves and lift evaporator core out of position.
7. Reverse procedure to install.
