A/C Cut-Off Control Inspection




System Inspection
1. Start the engine and let it idle.
2. Turn the A/C sensor (A/C switch) and blower switch ON, verify that engine speed DOES NOT DECREASE.
3. Turn the blower switch OFF and verify that engine speed DOES NOT INCREASE.
4. If not as specified, check for cause.
- Inspect Idle air control valve.

- Inspect A/C signal to powertrain control module engine (PCME) terminal 1E.




Acceleration Cut-Off Inspection
1. Turn ignition switch ON (engine OFF).
2. Shift transmission into gear (MT) shift into D range (AT).
3. Turn the A/C sensor and blower switch ON.
4. Open the throttle valve fully and verify that the magnetic clutch disengages (click is heard) then re-engages after approx. 5 seconds.
