Idle-Speed Control System

SYSTEM TEST
Note: This inspection must be done with the engine cold.- Engine coolant below 20°C (68°F).

BAC/Air Valve
1. Start the engine.
2. Verify that the idle speed decreases gradually as the engine warms up.

BAC/Idle Air Control Valve
1. Verify that the idle speed is within specification.
2. Disconnect the idle air control valve connector.
3. If the engine speed does not decrease, replace the BAC valve.
4. Perform the after-repair procedure.
