A/C Cut-Off Control Inspection
SYSTEM OVERVIEWView: System Relational Diagram:
An A/C cut-off system is used to improve idle smoothness of the engine immediately after starting it and to improve acceleration performance.
A/C Cut-Off Control System Operation:
The A/C magnetic clutch is disengaged under the conditions shown.
SYSTEM INSPECTION
1. Turn the A/C and blower switches ON.
2. Turn the ignition switch ON (engine not running).
3. Shift the transmission into L, S, or D range.
4. Open the throttle valve fully and verify that the magnetic clutch disengages (click is heard), then re-engages after approx. 5 sec.
