Variable Induction Control Actuator: Testing and Inspection

Removal
Remove the VRIS shutter valve actuator in the sequence described below.

Removal Sequence:

(1) Protector cover
(2) C-clip
(3) Vacuum hose
(4) Nuts screw
(5) VRIS shutter valve actuator

Inspection
1. Connect a vacuum pump tester to the actuator.
2. Apply vacuum and check that the rod is pulled into the actuator.
3. Replace if necessary.

Installation Sequence:

Install in the reverse order of removal.
