Variable Induction Control Solenoid: Testing and Inspection





Inspection
1. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the VRIS solenoid valve (Black).
2. Blow through the VRIS solenoid valve from hose (B) and check that air flows from the valve air filter.




3. Disconnect the VRIS solenoid valve connector and apply battery positive voltage and a ground to the terminals of the VRIS solenoid valve.
4. Blow through the VRIS solenoid valve from hose (B) and check that air flows from port (A).
5. Replace if necessary.
