Neutral Safety Switch: Service and Repair

1. Remove selector rod from manual shaft lever, then move manual shaft to N position.
2. Loosen transmission range switch bolts, then align holes of transmission range switch and manual shaft lever by inserting an approximately 0.157 inch outer diameter pin.
3. Torque switch bolts to 22 - 34 in.lb. and remove pin.
4. Check switch continuity as described under Component Testing. If not correct, replace switch.
5. Install selector rod to manual shaft lever.
