Window Regulator / Motor Disassembly Procedure

DISASSEMBLY





1. Remove the power window regulator assembly according to section S of the workshop manual.





2. Tighten the adjustment nuts to remove the cable.

Note
^ The adjustment nuts are secured with thread locking compound, use pliers to tighten.





3. Remove the lower cable from the lower bracket.

^ Use pliers to pinch the "V" shaped projection through the lower bracket opening.

^ Push the lower cable guide in the direction of the arrow.





4. Remove the upper cable guide from the upper bracket.





5. Remove the motor drum cover two (2) screws.





6. Remove drum from motor and remove cable.





7. Remove cable ends from carrier plate of regulator.

Note
^ Remove cable ends one at a time.

8. Remove adjustment nuts from motor.

9. Remove dust and all other foreign substance from removed parts.
