Fuel Pump Resistor/Relay (Speed) Assembly





Resistor Inspection
1. Disconnect the fuel pump resistor/relay (speed) assembly connector. Measure the resistance between terminals A and B by using an ohmmeter.

Specification: 0.38-0.42 Ohms

2. If not as specified, replace the fuel pump resistor/relay (speed) assembly.




Relay Inspection
1. Disconnect the fuel pump resistor/relay (speed) assembly connector.
2. Apply battery positive voltage and check continuity between terminals of the relay by using an ohmmeter.
3. If not as specified, replace the fuel pump resistor/relay (speed) assembly.




Replacement
1. Disconnect the fuel pump resistor/relay (speed) assembly connector.
2. Remove the fuel pump resistor/relay with the bracket from body.
3. Remove the fuel pump resistor/relay from the bracket.
4. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Tightening Torque: 7.8-10.7 Nm (70-95 in.lb.)
