A/C Cut-Off Control Inspection




System Operation
1. Start the engine and let it idle.
2. Turn the A/C switch and blower switch ON, and verify that engine speed DOES NOT DECREASE.
3. Turn the blower switch OFF and verify that engine speed DOES NOT INCREASE.
4. If not as specified, inspect the following:
- Idle air control valve
- A/C signal at Engine Control Module (ECM) terminal 1 E.




Acceleration cut-off
1. Turn ignition switch ON.
2. Shift transmission into gear (MT), shift into D range (AT).
3. Turn the A/C switch and blower switch ON.
4. Open the throttle valve fully and verify that the magnetic clutch disengage (click is heard) then re-engages after approx. 5 seconds.
5. If not as specified, check the A/C relay, ECM terminal 1 L voltage.
