Transmission Speed Sensor: Testing and Inspection

TURBINE SHAFT SPEED (TSS) SENSOR
- If the turbine shaft speed sensor has an open or short, Diagnostic Trouble Code No. P0715 is output.
- If the turbine shaft speed sensor circuit is open or shorted, no symptom will be noticed.

INSPECTION
1. Access TSS PID on Special Service Tool SST (NGS tester).
2. Monitor TSS PID at vehicle driving condition.

Driving Condition To TSS PID Readout:




3. If not within specification, disconnect the TSS sensor connector.
4. Measure the resistance between the terminals of the TSS sensor.

Resistance: 64-2OO ohms

5. If not as specified, replace the TSS sensor.
