Clutch Switch: Testing and Inspection

CLUTCH PEDAL POSITION (CPP) SWITCH (MT ONLY)
^ If the clutch pedal position switch circuit has an open or short, Diagnostic Trouble Code No. PO7O4 is output.
^ If the clutch pedal position switch is open or shorted, vehicle will not start or speed control will not disengage properly or idle speed will be too high with clutch pedal depressed.

INSPECTION
1. Disconnect the clutch pedal position switch connector.
2. Connect an ohmmeter to the switch, as shown.
3. Check the continuity of the switch between the terminals, as shown.




4. If not as specified, replace the clutch pedal position switch.
