Pressure Feedback Exhaust Sensor: Description and Operation

COMPONENT
Differential Pressure Feedback EGR Sensor (DPFE)

FUNCTION
Monitors differential pressure through two hoses referred to as down and upstream pressure hoses and outputs voltage to PCM. PCM uses signal to adjust EVR solenoid duty cycle and achieve desired EGR flow.

REMARKS
Uses a ceramic capacitive type pressure transducer. Marks HI and REF signals on sensor housing for identification (HI signal uses a larger diameter hose).
