Crankshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair

CKP Location:




REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect the crankshaft position sensor harness connector from the wiring harness.
3. Remove the crankshaft position sensor screws and remove the sensor.


CKP Sensor Location:




INSTALLATION
1. Position the crankshaft position sensor on engine.
2. Install the two sensor screws.

CAUTION: Do not overtighten crankshaft position sensor screws.

Tightening torques 9-12 Nm (75-106 in. lbs.)

3. Route the sensor harness and connect the harness connector.
4. Connect the negative battery cable.
