INSPECTION
Inspection Of Operation
- Verify that the starter operates only with the ignition switch at the START position and the selector lever in P and N position.
- Verify that the back-up lights illuminate when shifted to R position with the ignition switch in the ON position.
- Verify that the positions of the selector lever and the selector indicator light of the instrument cluster are aligned.
- Check the Transmission range switch if not as specified.

Continuity
- On level ground, jack up the vehicle and support it evenly on safety stands.
- Disconnect the selector lever from the manual shaft.
- Disconnect the transmission range switch connector.







- Check continuity of the terminals.




- If not correct, adjust the transmission range switch.
- If correct, check or adjust the selector lever.
