Wheel Speed Sensor: Testing and Inspection

1. Measure clearance between wheel speed sensor and rotor; clearance should be as specified in Fig. 124 and 125. If not, replace sensor or rotor as necessary.

2. Disconnect wheel speed sensor electrical connector and measure resistance between terminals. Resistance should be 1.6 - 2.0 kohms.
3. Raise and support vehicle; then, with wheel speed sensor connector disconnected, measure voltage at each sensor with corresponding wheel rotating at one revolution per second. Voltage should be 0.25 - 3.0 volts.
4. If results are not as specified, replace wheel speed sensor or rotor as necessary.
