Performance Test
Before and after finishing repairs, conduct a performance test of the refrigerant system as follows:
1. Close the all windows and hood.
2. Start the engine and run it at 1,500 rpm.
3. Turn the A/C switch on and set the fan switch to the fourth position.
4. Turn the REC switch and VENT switch on.
5. Set the temperature control lever to MAX COLD.
6. Record center ventilator temperature.
7. Determine and record ambient temperature.
8. Verify that the temperature reading is in the shaded zone.
