SPARK PLUG WIRE RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONS

DESCRIPTION





The OE (black colored) spark plug wires have been modified to improve durability. When diagnosing a concern and the spark plug wires are the suspected cause, check each wire's resistance according to the table shown prior to replacement.

NOTE:
The specifications listed DO NOT apply to replacement spark plug wires (NGK, blue colored). Service Managers should place a copy of this bulletin in the appropriate workshop manual.

MODIFICATION I.D.
The modified spark plug wires have a modification mark or are made using a different material. Refer to the illustration to identify the modified plug wires.

1. A small 1 mm dimple on the plastic extender next to the numbers.

2. The plug wire's extender has a glossy finish.

3. The plug wire's extender is rubber material.
