Transmission Speed Sensor: Service and Repair




REPLACEMENT
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the resonance chamber, fresh-air duct, and air cleaner assembly.
3. Remove the fuel filter mounting nuts.
4. Disconnect the input/turbine speed sensor connector.
5. Remove the input/turbine speed sensor.
6. Apply ATF to a new 0-ring and install it on a new input/ turbine speed sensor.
7. Install the input/turbine speed sensor.

Tightening torque: 7.9-10.7 Nm (70-95.4 in.lbs.)

8. Connect the input/turbine speed sensor connector.
9. Install the fuel filter mounting nuts.
10. Install the resonance chamber, fresh-air duct, and air cleaner assembly.
11. Connect the negative battery cable.
