Step 1
Check connectors.
1. Check in-line and control assembly multiple connectors for proper connection.




2. Does hiss stop?

Step 2
Determine leaking valve.
1. Rotate function knob to determine what A/C damper door switch positions are leaking.




2. Do all positions leak?

Step 3
Check source tube.
1. Check A/C vacuum tank hose (black) from A/C vacuum reservoir tank and bracket to control assembly for cut or disconnection.




2. Does hiss stop?

Step 4
Pinch off the source tube.
1. Pinch off A/C vacuum tank hose (black) at control assembly.




2. Does hiss stop?

Step 5
Determine leaking hose(s).
1. Determine what color hose(s) is used in leaking A/C damper door switch position(s).
2. Pinch off suspect hose(s), one at a time, near each respective vacuum control motor.




3. Does hiss stop?

Step 6
Pinch off suspect hose(s).
1. Pinch off suspect hose(s), one at a time, near control assembly and/or in-line connector.




2. Does hiss stop?
