Flow Chart No.4 - Symptom - Door ajar warning lamp fails prove out.

Step 1
Preliminary checks.
1. Check fuse.
2. Check connections for clean, tight fit.
3. Check for loose or damaged wires.




4. Do components and wiring check OK?

Step 2
On-demand self test.
1. Connect NGS to DLC.
2. Select "Diagnostic Test Mode" and "On-Demand Self Test." Retrieve continuous DTCs with ignition switch ON. Note any DTCs.
3. Press Cancel. Select "Retrieve Continuous DTCs." Perform on-demand self test and note any DTCs.




4. Are any DTCs retrieved?

Step 3
Check warning lamp.
1. Check bulb for continuity.




2. Is bulb OK?

Step 4
Check R/Y wire.
1. Check R/Y wire for battery voltage.




2. Is battery voltage present?
