Generator Pulley and Regulator Terminal

Removal/Installation

NOTE
^ The voltage regulator/brush holder assembly, generator pulley and regulator terminal are serviceable. If the generator requires further service, it must be replaced as an assembly.

1. Remove in the order shown in the figure.
2. Inspect all parts and repair or replace if necessary.
3. Install in the reverse order of removal, referring to INSTALLATION NOTE.

INSTALLATION NOTE
Pulley
1. Join the front and rear covers and install the bolts.

Tightening torque:
4.1 - 6.7 N.m {41.9 - 68.3 kgf.cm, 35 - 60 in.lbf}

2. Install the pulley and tighten the nut.

Tightening torque:
82 - 135 N.m {8.4 - 13.7 kgf.m, 60 - 100 ft.lbf}
