Starter Relay: Testing and Inspection

Inspection (on-vehicle)
1. Check the starter relay housing ground.
2. Place the transmission in P or N (AT) or depress the clutch pedal (MT).
3. Turn the ignition switch to START and measure the voltage between the starter relay start terminal and the relay housing ground. Measure the voltage between the output terminal and relay housing ground.

Specification: 12.00 - 12.45 V

4. If not as specified, check the wiring harness, ignition switch, anti-theft relay, clutch pedal position switch (MT) and park/neutral position switch (AT). If OK, replace the starter relay.
