Flow Chart No.3 - Symptom - Door ajar warning lamp stays on.

Step 1
Preliminary checks.
1. Check connections for clean, tight fit.
2. Check for loose or damaged wires.




3. Do connections and wiring check OK?

Step 2
On-demand self test.
1. Connect NGS to DLC.
2. Select "Diagnostic Test Mode" and "On-Demand Self Test." Retrieve continuous DTCs with ignition switch ON. Note any DTCs.
3. Press Cancel. Select "Retrieve/Clear Continuous DTCs." Perform on-demand self test and note any DTCs.




4. Are any DTCs retrieved?

Step 3
Check driver door ajar circuit.
1. Disconnect driver door ajar switch from harness connector.
2. Select "PID/DATA Monitor and Record." Read PID DRAJR L.




3. Does tester indicate driver door ajar?

Step 4
Check passenger door ajar circuit.
1. Disconnect passenger door ajar switch from harness connector.
2. Read PID DRAJR L.




3. Does tester indicate passenger door ajar?
