Installation
1. Install the engine in the vehicle.
a. Suspend the engine.
b. Slowly lower the engine. Keep it from swinging or bumping into components in the engine compartment.
c. Tighten the engine mount nuts.
Tightening torque: 32-46 Nm (24-33 ft lbs.)
d. Remove the front engine hanger.
2. Install the accelerator cable.
3. Install the three way catalytic converter (pre).
4. Install the solenoid and bracket.
5. Install the cooling fan and water pump pulley.
6. Install the A/C compressor.
7. Install the power steering pump.
a. Install the P/S oil pump.
Tightening torque: 32-46 Nm (24-33 ft lbs.)
b. Install the P/S oil pump pulley by using SST49 G032 354.
Tightening torque: 40-58 Nm (29-43 ft lbs.)
8. Install the radiator.
9. Install the radiator cowling.
10. Install the oil cooler hose.
11. Install the upper and lower radiator hose.
12. Install the splash shield.
13. Install the drive belt.
14. Install the fresh air duct.
15. Fill the transmission with the specified amount and type of automatic transmission fluid.
16. Fill the radiator and coolant reservoir with the specified amount and type of engine coolant.
17. Install the hood.
18. Connect the negative battery cable.
19. Start the engine and check the following:
^ check the engine oil, transmission oil, and engine coolant leakage.
^ check the ignition timing and idle speed.
20. Turn off the engine and check the drive belt deflection.
21. Perform a road test.
22. Recheck the engine oil, transmission oil, and engine coolant levels.
