Gear Sensor/Switch: Testing and Inspection
TERMINAL VOLTAGE 1.
Remove the column covers.
2.
Turn the
ignition switch to ON.
3.
Measure the voltage between terminal C and a ground.
4.
If not correct, go to the next step.
CONTINUITY 1.
Disconnect the connector.
2.
Check for continuity between terminals A and C (switch side).
3.
If not as specified, replace the change knob component.
