Engine Oil: Service and Repair

WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHEN DRAINING; THE OIL IS HOT.

1. Warm the engine to normal operating temperature and stop it.
2. Remove the oil filler cap and the oil pan drain plug.
3. Drain the oil into a suitable container.
4. Install a new gasket and the drain plug.
Tightening torque: 30-41 Nm (22-30 ft. lbs.)

5. Refill the engine with the specified type and amount of engine oil.
Oil capacity
Total (dry engine): 5.2 L (5.5 qts)
Engine oil replacement (w/ filter): 4.8 L (5.1 qts)
Engine oil replacement (w/o filter): 4.5 L (4.8 qts)

6. Refit the oil filler cap.
7. Run the engine and check for leaks.
8. Check the oil level and add oil if necessary.
