EGR Valve: Testing and Inspection
EGR VALVE INSPECTION 1.
Start the engine and let it idle.
2.
Connect a
vacuum pump as shown and apply vacuum.
Specification: -8.7 to -11 kPa (-2.6 to -3.5 in.Hg) 3.
Verify that the engine runs roughly or stalls at more than the specified vacuum.
4.
If not as specified, replace the
EGR valve.
