Fuel Filter: Service and Repair

WARNING: Fuel line spills and leaks are dangerous. Fuel can ignite and cause serious injuries or death and damage. Fuel can also irritate skin and eyes. To prevent this, always complete the "Fuel Pressure Release Procedure".

Fuel Pressure Release

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.




2. Remove in the order indicated in the image.
3. Install in the reverse order of removal indicated in the image.

NOTE: Before removing the fuel pump relay, remove the rear console, front console and side wall.




NOTE: Push the ends of the fuel hoses onto the Fuel Filter fittings until they contact the stops. Install the clamps on the fuel hoses.

2-5 mm (0.08-0.19 in.) from the end of hose
