Transmission Temperature Sensor/Switch: Testing and Inspection

TRANSAXLE FLUID TEMPERATURE SENSOR INSPECTION [GF4A-EL]





1. Remove the transaxle fluid temperature sensor.
2. Place the transaxle fluid temperature sensor in ATF with a thermometer as shown and heat the ATF gradually. Do not allow the test pieces to touch the bottom.









3. Measure resistance between the terminals of the transaxle fluid temperature sensor.
4. If not correct, replace the transaxle fluid temperature sensor.
5. Install the transaxle temperature sensor.
