Fluid - Transfer Case: Testing and Inspection

CAUTION: If the proper fill procedures are not followed, transfer case failure can result.

NOTE: Fluid level should be just below the fill plug.

1. Remove the filler plug.
2. Verify oil level is near filler plug port. If it is low, add specified oil.

Specified Oil: ATF TYPE M-III or equivalent (e.g. MERCON(R))

3. Apply sealant to filler plug threads and install

Tightening torque: 19 - 30 Nm (1.9 - 3.1 kgf-m, 14 - 22 ft. lbs.)
