Misfire Monitor or HO2S Repair Verification Drive Cycle

1. Check the fuel gauge and the FLI PID. The monitor can only be tested if the fuel gauge reads above 1/4 full and the FLI PID is above 15% (percentage of tank full).
2. Start the engine and drive the vehicle to a location where speeds can reach 55 to 60 mph (88 to 97 km/h) and coast down to 40 mph (64 km/h) without traffic interference.
3. Accelerate at wide open throttle to allow vehicle to shift at red-line. Immediately return to normal driving speeds.
4. Perform the following procedure three consecutive times.
(1). Accelerate on highway to 60 mph (97 km/h). Maintain speed for 30 seconds.
(2). Coast down with foot off accelerator from 60 mph (97 km/h) to 40 mph.

5. Rerun Continuous Memory, KOEO and KOER self-tests.
