Transmission Position Sensor/Switch: Adjustments

TRANSMISSION RANGE SWITCH ADJUSTMENT
1. Remove the selector cable, manual shaft nut, and lever.
2. Move the manual shaft to N position.





3. Loosen the transmission range switch mounting bolts.





4. Align the holes of the transmission range switch and the manual shaft lever, and insert an approximately 4.0 mm (0.157 inch) outer diameter pin through the holes.
5. Tighten the mounting bolts, then remove the pin.

Tightening torque
2.5-3.9 Nm (25-40 kgf-cm, 22-34 inch lbs.)


6. Recheck the continuity of the transmission range switch.
7. If not correct, replace the transmission range switch.
8. Install the lever and manual shaft nut.

Tightening torque
30-39 Nm (3.0-4.0 kgf-m, 22-28 ft. lbs.)


9. Install the selector cable.
