Air Bag Control Module: Testing and Inspection

1. Install a new SAS unit then verify that the air bag system warning light continuously flashes approximately 6 seconds after the ignition switch is turned to ON.
2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK then back to ON while the air bag system warning light is flashing continuously. If the procedures have been performed correctly, the air bag system warning light illuminates, then goes out after approximately 6 seconds.
3. If it does not go out, perform the deployment authorization procedure again.
