Overdrive Switch: Testing and Inspection

O/D OFF SWITCH INSPECTION
1. Remove the rear console and front console.
2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.





3. Measure the voltage at the O/D OFF switch connector.
4. If not as specified, inspect for continuity at the O/D OFF switch.
5. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
6. Disconnect the O/D OFF switch connector.





7. Inspect for continuity at the O/D OFF switch.
8. If not as specified, replace the selector lever knob.
9. If the switch is okay, inspect the wiring harness. (O/D OFF switch - Powertrain control module, O/D OFF switch - Body ground)
10. Connect the O/D OFF switch connector.
11. Install the front console and rear console.
12. Connect the negative battery cable.
