Transmission Temperature Sensor/Switch: Testing and Inspection

Transaxle Fluid Temperature Sensor Inspection [GF4A-EL]





1. Remove the transaxle fluid temperature sensor.





2. Place the transaxle fluid temperature sensor in ATF with a thermometer as shown and heat the ATF gradually. Do not allow the test pieces to touch the bottom.





3. Measure resistance between the terminals of the transaxle fluid temperature sensor.
- If not correct, replace the transaxle fluid temperature sensor.
4. Install the transaxle fluid temperature sensor.
