Traction Control Switch: Service and Repair

REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
- The TCS OFF switch is installed on the rear console.

TCS OFF SWITCH INSPECTION
Switch And ABS/TCS CM Harness Inspection
1. Inspect the wiring harness between the ABS/TCS control module and TCS OFF switch for short to ground.
2. Remove the ABS/TCS CM connector.





3. Measure the resistance between 1N and ground.
4. If not within the specification, inspect the harness and the TCS OFF switch.

Switch Operation Inspection
1. Remove the TCS OFF switch.





2. Inspect for continuity between terminal C and terminal D.
3. If there is no continuity, replace the TCS OFF switch.
