Traction Control Switch: Testing and Inspection

SWITCH AND ABS/TCS HU/CM HARNESS INSPECTION
1. Inspect the wiring harness between the ABS/TCS HU/CM and TCS OFF switch for short to ground.
2. Remove the ABS/TCS HU/CM connector.





3. Measure the resistance between P and ground.
^ If not within the specification, inspect the harness and the TCS OFF switch.
Resistance
When switch is pressed 1 - 100 ohms
When switch is released No continuity


SWITCH OPERATION INSPECTION
1. Remove the Traction Control System (TCS) OFF switch.





2. Inspect for continuity between terminal C and terminal D.
^ If there is no continuity, replace the TCS OFF switch.
