DISC PLATE THICKNESS INSPECTION
1. Measure the thickness of the disc plate.
^ If the thickness is not within the specification, replace the disc plate.

Caution When it is necessary to machine the disc plate, if the disc plate is removed from the vehicle then machined, excessive runout may result. Machine the disc plate with it installed on the vehicle.

Thickness
Standard: 28 mm (1.1 inch)
Minimum: 26 mm (1.0 inch)
Minimum thickness after machining using a brake lathe on-vehicle: 26.8 mm (1.06 inch)

DISC PLATE RUNOUT INSPECTION
1. Verify that there is no wheel bearing looseness.





2. Measure the runout at the outer edge of the contact surface of the disc pad.
^ If the runout is not within the specification, repair or replace the disc plate.
Runout
0.05 mm (0.001 inch) max.

DISC PLATE DIAMETER INSPECTION
1. Remove the disc plate.
2. Inspect the inside of disc plate for scratches and uneven or abnormal wear.





3. Measure the disc plate inner diameter.
^ If any diameter is not within the specification, replace the disc plate.

191.0 mm (7.519 inch) max.
