At SGC Terminal Inspection

1. Disconnect the distributor connectors.
2. Visually inspect the connecting condition of the male and female terminals.
3. Turn the ignition switch to ON.




4. Measure the terminal voltage between the distributor connector (6-pin) terminal B and body ground using a voltmeter.
- If not as specified, inspect the related wiring harnesses for open (including the relay, fuse).

Terminal voltage: B+

5. Measure the terminal voltage between the distributor connector (6-pin) terminal D and body ground using a voltmeter.
- If not as specified, inspect the related wiring harness for open.

Terminal voltage: Approx. 5.0 V




6. Measure the terminal voltage between the distributor connector (3-pin) terminal A and body ground using a voltmeter.
- If not as specified, inspect the related wiring harnesses for open (including the relay, fuse).

Terminal voltage: B+

7. Turn the ignition switch off.
8. Inspect the continuity between the distributor connector (6-pin) terminal A and body ground using an ohmmeter.
- If there is no continuity, inspect the related wiring harnesses for open.
9. Inspect the continuity between the distributor connector (6-pin) terminal E and body ground using an ohmmeter.
- If there is no continuity, inspect the related wiring harnesses for open.
10. Connect the distributor connectors.
11. Remove the distributor cap and visually verify that there is no damage in rotor.
- If it is not normal, inspect the CMP sensor.
12. Install the distributor cap.
