Transmission Temperature Sensor/Switch: Testing and Inspection

TRANSAXLE FLUID TEMPERATURE (TFT) SENSOR INSPECTION [LJ4A-EL]
1. Remove the control valve body.
2. Remove the TFT sensor and solenoid valves.





3. Place the TFT sensor in water with a thermometer as shown and heat the water gradually.





4. Measure resistance between the terminals of the TFT sensor.
- If not as specified, replace the TFT sensor.
5. Install the TFT sensor and solenoid valves.
Tightening torque
6.9 - 8.8 Nm (70 - 90 kgf.cm, 61 - 78 inch lbs.)
6. Install the control valve body.
7. Carry out the line pressure test.
