Piston and Connecting Rod Disassembly/Assembly

PISTON AND CONNECTING ROD DISASSEMBLY / ASSEMBLY
Disassembly Note





1. Remove the upper compression ring.





2. Remove the lower compression ring.





3. Remove the oil control rings.





4. Using an arbor press and the Piston Pin Remover/ Replacer T68P-6135-A or equivalent, remove the piston pin.
^ For piston and connecting rod testing, refer to Clyinder Block Assembly; Testing and Inspection; Procedures; Piston Inspection and Connecting Rod Inspection.

Assembly Note
1. Assemble in reverse order of disassembly.
