Disassembly and Assembly




1. Disassemble in the order indicated below.
1. Heater case (5)
2. Cover
3. Front evaporator
4. Expansion valve
5. Front heater core
6. Airflow mode crank
7. Airflow mode link
8. Air mix link
9. Air mix crank
10. Thermosensor
11. Heater case (4)
12. Heater case (3)
13. Heater case (2)
14. Heater case (1)
15. Airflow mode door
16. Air mix door

2. Assemble in the reverse order of disassembly

Front Evaporator Assembly Note
1. When assembling a new front evaporator, add a supplemental amount of ND-OIL8 compressor oil from the inlet.

Supplemental amount (approximate quantity): 40 ml {40 cc, 1.4 fl oz}

FRONT EVAPORATOR INSPECTION

1. Inspect for cracks, damage, and oil leakage.
- If any problems are found, replace the front evaporator.

2. Inspect for bent fins.
- If any are bent, use a flathead screwdriver to straighten them.
