Overdrive Indicator Lamp: Testing and Inspection

O/D OFF INDICATOR LIGHT INSPECTION
Inspection of Operation
1. Turn the ignition switch from OFF to ON position.

Note:
^ The O/D OFF indicator light will illuminate if a malfunction exists in any of the EC-AT system components.

2. Verify that the O/D OFF indicator light is not illuminated.
3. Press the switch and verify that the O/D OFF indicator illuminates.
^ If the O/D OFF switch function is not as specified, after checking the O/D OFF switch, inspect the terminal voltage of the O/D OFF indicator light.

Inspection of Voltage
1. Turn the ignition switch on.








2. Measure voltage between terminal 3J and a ground.

Inspection of Continuity
1. Disconnect the instrument cluster connector.








2. Inspect continuity between terminal 1 H and TCM terminal 1E.
^ If not as specified, inspect the wiring harness (instrument cluster-TCM).
^ If as specified. Go to the next step.








3. Inspect continuity between terminals 1 H and 3J.
^ If not as specified, replace the instrument cluster or bulb.
