Shift Solenoid: Service and Repair

SOLENOID VALVE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Caution:
^ Denting or scratching these components will reduce the ability of the transaxle to shift properly. When handling these components or the valve body that contains them, be careful not to drop or hit them.

1. Remove the control valve body.





2. Remove the solenoid valves and manual valve.
3. Apply ATF to a new O-ring and install it on the solenoid valve.
4. Install the solenoid valve and manual valve in the control valve body.
Tightening torque 8.3 - 10.30 Nm (85.0 - 105.0 kgf-cm, 73.8 - 91.1 inch lbs.)
5. Install the control valve body.
6. Add the ATF while the engine is idling, and inspect the ATF level and leakage.
7. Perform the time lag test and line pressure test.
8. Perform the road test.
