ANTI-THEFT ALARM ACTIVATES

2002-2003 MPV

DESCRIPTION

The anti-theft alarm may unintentionally activate when opening the driver's door after unlocking with the door lock switch. This condition may be caused by improper program logic of the anti-theft alarm control unit. A modified anti-theft alarm control unit has been introduced to correct this concern.

Customers having this concern should have their vehicles repaired using the following procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. Verify concern.

2. Replace anti-theft alarm control unit with a new part according to Workshop Manual (section 09-14) THEFT-DETERRENT CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.

3. Verify repair.
