Accelerator Pedal: Service and Repair

ACCELERATOR PEDAL AND SHAFT

Removal and Installation

WARNING: Make sure surrounding components such as wiring, hoses, sound insulation and floor carpeting are not contacting the sliding inner cable of the accelerator cable or the accelerator pedal and shaft. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury.




1. Disconnect the accelerator cable from the throttle lever and bracket.




2. Remove the accelerator pedal and shaft assembly.
1. Disconnect the accelerator cable
2. Remove the bolts.

NOTE: To ease installation, remove the grommet from the throttle lever and install it onto the accelerator cable end.

3. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
