FOREWORD [FN4A-EL] When the customer reports a vehicle malfunction, check the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL), AT warning light illumination, and
TCM memory for diagnostic trouble code (DTC), then diagnose the malfunction according to flowchart.

If a DTC exists, diagnose the applicable DTC.

If a DTC does not exist, and the MIL and AT warning lights do not illuminate, diagnose the applicable symptom troubleshooting.
