Water Pump: Service and Repair

WATER PUMP REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Warning:
^ Remove and install all parts when the engine is cold, otherwise they can cause severe burns or serious injury.

1. Remove the engine cover.
2. Remove the battery cover.
3. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
4. Drain the engine coolant.
5. Remove the battery, battery box, battery tray.
6. Before positioning the drive belt out of the way, loosen the water pump pulley installation bolt.
7. Position the drive belt out of the way.
8. Remove in the order indicated in the table.
9. Install in the reverse order of removal.
10. Add engine coolant.
